ABOUT  US

David Day Designs has been producing hand crafted tile and ceramics since 1997.  We have made decorative tile for restaurants, public spaces, corporate offices, new homes, and renovations.  

Since our inception, la Madeleine French Bakeries has been a large part of our business.  For the past five years we have been producing a line of  hand crafted mugs for all sixty-three locations.  In 1998 we began making the hand painted tile for their newest restaurants.  

Our company is made up of two artists : David Day and Rebecca Hutchison Day.  David  graduated from the University of Dallas with a B.A. in Art concentrating in ceramics.  Rebecca earned a B.F.A. in painting from the University of Texas.  Handmade, hand painted tile has proven to be a perfect synthesis of both our skills.

Most of our work is based on traditional antique tile.  We use many of the same techniques used centuries ago to create our tiles; everything is done by hand and the results are evident.  

On their own, David and Rebecca have created bodies of work including ceramics, garden pottery, and textile art.
